things I am learning as a mom
As a mom, I’ve learned that there are many aspects to being a good one. I have also learned that it takes dedication and time to be the best parent possible. There are so many things I have had to learn in order to become the mother my children deserve. From taking care of their needs, making sure they feel loved, spending quality time with them, teaching them valuable life lessons - there is never enough time in the day! But through all of this hard work and effort, I’ve come across some valuable lessons about being a mom.
These are just some of the things I m learning as a mom:
1. I am learning how to be more selfless
I am learning how to be more selfless as a new mom. There are so many people waiting for me, and I have time constraints of caring for my baby. I am starting to get used to the idea that sometimes, it is okay if others take over while I am taking care of myself or spending time with my family. It's not selfish - it's healthy!
2. I am learning what it means to be a mom
I am learning what it means to be a mom. I love my son and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He is so sweet and I can't help but smile when he looks up at me with his big brown eyes. It's amazing how much you can learn from just one person, and it's been such an incredible journey so far!
3. I'm learning that my kids are individuals with their own personalities and interests
My kids are individuals with their own personalities. I've come to find that it's ok for them to be different from one another! It's been really relaxing and freeing for me, as a mom, to let go of these expectations that my children should be the same. I'm learning that they're going to do what they want in life, regardless if it's what I would have done or not. This has helped me stop worrying about where they're going in life because my job is just being there when they need me most - no matter who they become or how different we may seem on the outside.
4. My kids are teaching me patience, love, and empathy
The best part of being a mom is watching my kids grow and learn new things every day. I have learned patience from my children, love from all the hugs they give me, and empathy when I see them get upset with each other. My life has been enriched by their presence in it.
As a mom you are constantly faced with challenges that test your patience, but it's important to be sensitive to the needs of your child even if you're feeling frustrated or angry because this teaches them what they can do when these emotions arise. It also helps teach them how to empathize with others who may not be feeling well or happy at a given moment- an invaluable lesson for any human being!
5. Kids teach us lessons about life - they're truly teachers themselves
You may think that your kids are just rowdy and rambunctious, but you might be surprised to learn that they teach us lessons about life. They're truly teachers themselves. One of the many things we can learn from our children is how to live in the moment. As a parent, it's easy to get caught up in the busyness of day-to-day life and forget what really matters - making memories with our loved ones while trying new things together. Kids crave routine and consistency, which means their lives are full of structure and predictability; this offers them stability as they explore new worlds like walking or talking for the first time. "Kids know when something is out of whack," says Dr. Stephen Covey
6. My children have taught me new things every day since the day they were born!
I love my children and I want to be the best parent possible. Parenting is hard work, but it's also a lot of fun! My kids have taught me new things every day since the day they were born. Some days are easier than others when it comes to parenting, but everything has been worth it because I get to watch them grow up and laugh with them all day long!
7. I'm learning to find joy in the little things
No matter how many kids you have, there are always moments that stand out as being the best. Whether it's seeing your child take their first step or getting to watch them graduate from college, they're all worth celebrating. As a mom of four, I've learned to find joy in the little things - like when my daughter proudly exclaims she has three children now! It can be challenging with so much going on in our lives but what matters is making sure we enjoy every moment because these days go by quickly.
8.I am learning that there is no manual for motherhood and you have to learn as you go
I am learning that there is no manual for motherhood and you have to learn as you go. I think it's important for moms to share their stories with each other, because it can be tough feeling like you're the only one struggling. But if we all help each other out, we will get through this together!
