What are Botanical Tincture Drops?

Botanical Tincture Drops are made by combining two gentle methods of plant healing by blending a water-extracted herb (hydosol) with flower essences (or remedies). The herbs work on your physical body, while the flower essences support you emotionally. Each blend features one hydrosol – which also characterizes the blend’s flavor. To this base we add 3-5 different flower essences. We make a line of twelve 100% USDA Organic flowers essences especially for these blends. All grown sustainably and certified USDA Organic by our wonderful farmers in Southern New Jersey. See more about flower essences here.

How are Hydrosols and Flower Essences made?

Hydrosols are water extracts made via steam distillation. Water extracts are gentle and easy for the body to process. Flower essences are, simply, tinctures made from flowers, spring water and sunlight; then diluted. They are scent and flavorless.

Do they work?

We think so. (Or we wouldn't be sitting here on this fancy website.) Our family has used flower essences & herbs for years and has loved having these natural powers in our toolkit of life. Calm-A-Mama drops combine flower remedies with traditional herbal medicine. That means you get support on TWO different levels - biochemical and emotional. We are all out of balance in some way. And chances are that imbalance has domino-like impact on your health and wellness. Think of it this way - if looking at ocean can heal us, if listening to beautiful music can move us, then why not plants? At the VERY least you will be carving out time for yourself (good), turning your attention to healing (good), and creating ritual in your life (good). We believe it is a win win.

Are there side effects?

Because the active ingredient in a flower essence is the energy from a plant, not a physical substance, there are not any contraindications. You can take them even if you have allergies. Taking flower remedies is very safe. There are no side effects and are not habit-forming. If you have an specific concerns, please consult a medical professional.

How do I take/ give the drops?

Take 4 drops from your bottle, 4-6 times per day (for children, start with 2 drops). Do not touch the dropper to the mouth. Alternatively, you can put in a beverage of your choosing. If you find yourself in need more often, please use as frequently as needed! You cannot take too much, however, efficacy works more with increased frequency and not at higher dosages. There are about 75 servings per bottle. Infants: Give directly by mouth. We recommend placing drops on a clean finger and placing into infant's mouth. Alternatively, you can place drops on the nipple for a breastfeed baby. We do not recommend dropping them directly from the dropper into the infants mouth as this can cause them to cough and/or startle. Children: Most children LOVE the taste of our drops. Give them directly by mouth when possible. Do not touch dropper to mouth. Alternatively, they can be given in a small quantity of water. Adults: Take directly by mouth when possible. Do not touch dropper to mouth. Alternatively, place drops in a small quantity of water.

How do I store them?

To prolong the life span of your drops longer than the recommended two years we please store in a cool and dark place. However, we like to keep ours handy – and that sometime means decidedly NOT cool and dark.

When will they work?

We are all different. With some, the effect is immediate, with other, it is more cumulative.

Can I take too much? What will happen?

If you've taken more then 4 drops don't worry! You will be fine and it still only counts as one serving. Remember, frequency over quantity when it comes to these botanical tincture drops.

What about refunds and returns?

Returns:
Our policy, where applicable, lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase, which you can provide via order number. Please email us at info@calm-a-mama.com before returning your item to make certain your return is eligible, include your order number in the email.
Refunds (if applicable):
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
